Nothing but Trousers Since 1962
Rota has made nothing but trousers since 1962, and Damiani Miami carries them, including the Rotasport line. Ampelio Rota founded the company in Fidenza, near Parma, to bring trousers to the forefront of men's style.
His son Emilio joined in 1970 and is now president, and the third generation, Andrea and Michele, joined in 2010. Rota debuted at Pitti Uomo in 1975, moved into a larger home in Fidenza in 1986 and in 1990 launched Rotasport, the first collection of garment-dyed and washed trousers.
Each pair takes more than 40 steps, made by artisans who master one or two steps over years, sometimes generations. Nine members of the Rota family work in the company today.
