Handmade in Naples Since 1941
Rifugio has made leather by hand in Naples since 1941, and Damiani Miami carries its leather pieces. Founder Alfredo Rifugio began tailoring at 13 and became a master tailor known as the king of handmade leather jackets. Today he runs the house with his son, Alfonso.
A single jacket can take up to ten master craftsmen and 80 hours of work in the Naples workshop, using only the lightest, most luxurious leathers. Rifugio even made the White Jewel, the jacket Pope John Paul II wore skiing and hiking.
