Born From a Sail in Maine
Paul & Shark was born from a passion for the sea, and Damiani Miami carries its ready-to-wear. The story begins in the 1920s with Maglificio Dacò, a small Italian knitwear workshop later acquired by Gian Ludovico Dini.
In 1976 his son Paolo Dini founded Paul & Shark in Varese. On a trip to Maine he had come across an old work sail from the late 18th century with the words Paul & Shark on it, and he took it as a sign. The brand is still led by the Dini family, with Paolo's son Andrea at the helm.
