A Neapolitan Shirtmaker Since 1953
Maria Santangelo has made shirts in the Neapolitan tailoring tradition since 1953, and Damiani Miami carries its shirts. The house was founded by Maria Santangelo herself, whose leadership and character shaped the company, and it is still run by the Santangelo family.
Its home is Sant'Anastasia, a town near Mount Vesuvius just outside Naples. Every shirt is made in the company's own workshop by highly skilled Italian hands, and production is kept deliberately limited.
Every stage carries the mark of tailoring, from the design and the cut to the stitching and the buttonholes, which are embroidered by hand.
