Kangra is an Italian knitwear house, and Damiani Miami carries its knits. Its story began in 1967 in Reggio Emilia, when Paolo Montermini founded Hadam's Creazioni, a family knitwear company.
In the 2000s the company moved from large-scale distribution to retail and made cashmere its focus, and the Kangra brand was born.
Kangra imports its cashmere exclusively from Inner Mongolia. The fiber is combed from the goats during the spring molt, only 200 to 300 grams of fine down per goat. The company has worked with the same artisans for years, passing knowledge from one generation to the next.
