Two Friends, Two A's
Doppiaa is an Italian menswear label from Brescia, and Damiani Miami carries a selection of its pieces. The name means "double A," for its founders, Alain Fracassi and his longtime friend Albert Carreras, who launched the brand in 2015.
Tailoring runs in Alain's family. His grandfather, Eisner Fracassi, was a tailor, and his father, Adriano, founded a tailoring store in Brescia in 1969. Albert, son of the Spanish tenor José Carreras, looks after the business, while Alain leads the design of the fabrics.
Doppiaa's rules are simple: 100% Italian labor and a relentless search for the finest fabrics, wherever they may be, with a Mediterranean sense of color. The brand has its own boutiques in Milan and in Forte dei Marmi.
