Pants Makers Since 1922
Alberto has made pants in Mönchengladbach, Germany, since 1922, and Damiani Miami carries its Ceramica five-pocket pants. Dr. Albert Dormanns founded the company in the empty rooms of his late grandfather's cloth mill.
In 1950 the company decided to specialize in men's trousers, and in the 1980s it began building the Alberto brand around innovative materials and modern design. Four generations of the family have led the business since.
Mönchengladbach, in the Rhineland, has long been one of Germany's textile towns, and Alberto still works with fabrics sourced mainly from Italy.

Ceramica® is a microfiber with thermo-reflective fibers that compensate by nearly 9°F above or below the outside temperature, so the pants stay comfortable on warm and cool days. It stretches, holds its shape, resists wrinkles and is machine washable.
